Research into practice and the photography department.

The photography department at the University of Sunderland has a long history of working with photographers and setting up opportunities to support the production of critically engaged photographic practice.

From 2005 - 2008 we were lead partner in the EU, Culture 2000 funded 3 year project Changing Faces, which included 18 international fellowships for photographers, 3 major international conferences, several exhibitions across Europe and the publication of 10 books about photography.
